Unshelved is an attempt to keep better track of the books I read and to capture the clutter of a writing life. I’m the author of two books of fiction, Change Baby (novel) and Missing Women and Others (short-story collection). I’m married to a writer of nonfiction, and we’re raising two sons that so far seem to love books as we do, though we’re kind of hoping they veer toward less heartbreaking vocations.
